? How did you get started, your first camera

— My first camera was a snap shot of sports day with my father’s film camera. Till 5 years ago, I took family snap photo by compact cameras. 5 years ago. I took the photo of a swan on the lake covered with fog in front of Mt Fuji. It was very fantastic photo. After that moment, to take photo means to take Mt Fuji photo to me. Now I became an amateur photographer specialized in Mt Fuji.

? Who are your favorite photographers?

— Ansel Adams

? What books on photography, which should be read

— Sorry, I don’t read books for photography. I usually get inspiration from photo SNS on WEB. My skill for photos is self-taught. I have learned from trial and error. Give one or a few tips for beginners.

? What is most important for you in your work?

— I always take care so as not to get hurt. Because I often go to the shooting spot in the mid night. When I get hurt, I cannot shoot for a while. And I’m careful to protect the rule of location of shooting spot.

? What the most memorable episode or event?

— That my photo was chosen to one of 100 Best Art Photos of the year 2015 in 35AWARDS!

? Do you have a treasured mascot?

Yes, I have few photos of mine which I took really incredible landscape view of Mt Fuji (Self-satisfaction LOL) . They are not shared.

? What do you like to photograph the most?

— Of course, it’s to take photos of Mt Fuji

? Your plans for the future?

— My photos will be on display in the two famous group photo exhibition in June in Tokyo.

? What cameras and lenses do you use today?

— I usually use D800 (NIKON) and D610 (NIKON) mainly.

And I use three Lenses, 24-120mm f4.0 (NIKON), 70-200mm f2.8 (NIKON), 15-30mm (TAMURON).

? Tell the story of the creation of the winning photo in the contest 35Awards

— I took this Mt Fuji photo at the highland away 100km from Mt Fuji. I went there many times. But It’s difficult to get wonderful photo Sometimes many clouds hide Mt Fuji. Sometimes there was no clouds, no fog, no glow. But this day was very good condition for photograph. Sea of clouds, morning glow, lights on the lake….. I was able to get this wonderful photo by attending many times in the same place. I think that it’s important for landscape photograph.

? What are your impressions about the photo contest 35Awards? Why photographers need to participate in photo contests?

— I think it’s very fair new style photo contest. My photos are found in the people of the world. It will lead to greater confidence. I can expect that I get a big chance in the future.
