>> РУССКАЯ ВЕРСИЯ <<
? How did you get started, your first camera
— The inception of my photography journey started as a young teenager in my little hometown library where I was absolutely mesmerized by a large amount of old Czechoslovakian photography magazines depicting various styles of images from all around the world. I still remember exactly looking at Josef Koudelka’s work plus documentary pictures from plenty of other photographers . Some of the images were incomprehensible to my mind but I could still feel the inner enchanting beauty of them.My very first photo equipment was the cheap fuji digital camera as far as I remember correctly))
? Who are your favorite photographers?
— My favorite photographers are many but one of them I like the most is Dean West. His world of fantasy, unconventional dreams and approach to parallel worlds has had a huge impact on my future photo manipulations.
? What books on photography, which should be read
— I don’t really have read any to be honest,I randomly pick up few articles and interview here and there but nothing specific to be honest)
? Tell me one or a few tips for beginners
— Always trust your intuition and gods it will lead you on the right path and be really patience ,that is one of the most important things on your journey,do not even try to rush things ,it will give you just a jeaopardy way though!
? What is most important for you in your work?
— It’s obligatory for me to say that is so simple to catch up a beauty of anything that is so obvious to a naked human eye ,but twice so much harder to discover it in hidden even in ugly and negative things. I am balancing among these two worlds everyday in a real life and so do I in photography. Never ending story when it comes to upholding and drifting the libras bowl. So the vision stays in these two strange lines one way or the other your images will reveal it.
Nowadays the differentiation has almost completely evaporated and these 3 principles itself have a huge impact on your final image. With that in mind you can’t create something rather complicated without missing one of those 3 things. But the aspiration personally for me is to balance it all.
? What the most memorable episode or event?
— It comes all along with one of my favourite photograps «Let The Life Flow In» The building the image was taken in had a magical and mystical atmosphere with its own authenticity. The light ,abandoned place myself alone being there it has all come together in that very place.
? What do you like to photograph the most?
— I am not really specifiing or trying to build the boundaries around me,anything and nothing there are no obligations to that)
? Your plans for the future?
— I will continue doing what I have been doing till now , by trying to come up with extraordinary concepts that people might find interesting in some way. Although I am pretty sure creative edit can not be for every viewer.
? What cameras and lenses do you use today?
— I shoot with Mark II very few lenses canon 17-40, samyang 14, canon70-200, canon 24-70 and that is pretty much it. At the beginning I used shoot 99% of my work with sigma 10mm.
? Tell the story of the creation of the winning photo in the contest 35Awards
— It was early sunday morning whn the idea hit me like a blizzard on that dark gloomy day) We have traveled together with my girlfriend to a place I have known for a while and tried several shots until thi final one was concluded all together in photoshop.
I was happy it ended up this way Is till have very vivid story from this extraordinary photoshoot!)
? What are your impressions about the photo contest 35Awards? Why photographers need to participate in photo contests?
— The quality and duality of the images, concept and idea behind it it all makes this contest so special particularly in the conceptional and fine art category, nevertheless all categories were amazing!
